Clients who want regular content work or continued development may choose a higher managed arrangement, but this only happens when they explicitly request it.

Important details

Clear terms around the work.

Minor content updates

Minor content updates are small changes to existing content during the first 12 months of the Monthly Website plan.

  • Changing contact details
  • Replacing an image
  • Updating opening hours
  • Correcting or replacing a short piece of text
  • Adding a brief notice

Not included in the monthly plan

Larger work is quoted separately so the fixed monthly plan remains clear.

  • New pages
  • Major new sections
  • Redesign work
  • Custom functionality
  • Integrations
  • Ongoing copywriting
  • Ongoing SEO campaigns
  • Ecommerce
  • Booking systems
  • Multilingual functionality
  • Substantial content restructuring

Commercial extensions and licences

Commercial extension updates are included while the website remains under an active Buildverse care plan. Buildverse manages the required licences and installs supported updates without transferring Buildverse licence keys to the client installation.

If a website moves away from Buildverse, the transferred website retains the extension versions installed at the time of migration. Buildverse licence keys, vendor accounts and future licensed updates are not transferred. The client or their new provider may need to purchase separate licences to continue receiving updates.

Domain and business email

Domain registration and renewal are charged separately. Pricing depends on the domain extension and current supplier price. Domain connection and DNS configuration are included in the website setup, and the domain should remain owned or controlled by the client wherever practical.

Business email is optional and quoted at the current supplier rate. A typical package may provide up to 5 GB total storage across up to 5 email addresses, with current expected pricing around £3–£5 + VAT per month. Clients may use an existing public or third-party email address instead.

Optional add-on

Timing and first payment

Most monthly websites are typically completed within 2–6 weeks once the first payment has cleared and all required information, content and materials have been supplied.

The first monthly payment is due within 7 calendar days of signing the agreement. Work is scheduled and begins only after the first payment has cleared.

The estimated delivery period begins only after payment, required content and materials, and any necessary domain or technical access have been provided.

Can I move the website later?

Yes. Once the initial 12-month term has been completed and all outstanding payments have been settled, the website can be transferred.

Migration assistance is charged at £50 + VAT per hour. The final migration cost depends on the size and complexity of the website, the destination hosting environment, DNS requirements, email arrangements and the level of assistance required from Buildverse.

The client retains ownership of their domain and supplied text, images and materials. A working copy of the website can be provided after the initial term is completed. Buildverse commercial licence keys and vendor accounts are not transferred, and future commercial extension updates may require replacement licences.

Compare your options

The quality standard remains consistent.

The difference is the scale of the work, the flexibility required and the way the project is funded.
